Winter brings us cold weather, sickness (hopefully not too much!), and shorter days. One of my favourite things to do in the winter is to warm up with a delicious hot beverage. Here’s my recipe for a hot honey lemon ginger beverage with a few options depending on how you’re feeling. Enjoy!
- Hot water
- Freshly grated ginger
- Lemon juice (fresh squeezed or bottled – whatever you have on hand!)
- Add grated ginger and lemon juice to your favourite mug (I change quantities depending on how I’m feeling).
- Add hot water.
- Add honey.
- Adjust ginger, lemon juice, and honey to taste.
If you’re feeling under the weather, try adding some garlic to your beverage! It may be a bit of an acquired taste, but it’s fended off many colds for me!
